If you stand quietly in the middle of a field of corn somewhere in rural Illinois you may just hear the sounds that filled a young girl’s head and heart, and slowly morphed into the words and music that push their way out of Sunny Gable’s scrawny arms and disproportionately large heart. Fascinated by the treble clef and the ability to read and reproduce music, a very small human began a journey that has taken her through many instruments, clefs and emotions. She studied viola in college where rooms full of silent observers lead her think ‘it would be much better if everyone was just a little drunk’ and another rowdy folk musician was born. Sunny’s style draws from a wide array of inspirations ranging from Alice In Chains to Alison Kraus and she makes no apologies, but if you want she’ll croon you a tune about it.
